The Businesswomen’s Association (BWA) East London celebrated sixteen years of celebrating the hard work of East London women in the economy.
The event which was held on Saturday at the Venue in Hemingways saw a number of queens being crowned as a sign of their role in building the economy and the society.
All the winners were judged under six categories namely; emerging entrepreneur, entrepreneur, corporate, professional, social entrepreneur and women in government.
BWA East London chairwoman, Ruth Troskie congratulated the women in their hard work and the role they have played in the society.
The event has had long support from local sponsors in East London, such as Investec, IDC, Daily Dispatch, Hemingways, Harry’s Printers and Mercedes Benz.
