BKCOB | South Africa’s World Tourism Day looks at boosting tourism in Mthatha

The South African Tourism has decided to host the World Tourism Day in Mthatha this year; the event will be on the 27th of September 2018 with the theme ‘Digital Transformation’.

The Department of Tourism in South Africa has urged travellers to explore the country this tourism month by travelling to areas they have never visited before. This was announced at the launch of the Tourism month in Tsitsikama in the Eastern Cape.

South African Tourism Chief Executive, Sisa Ntshona, said the whole campaign is set on encouraging locals to travel and explore the country.
“We have engaged with travel partners to ensure that the offers entice locals to travel to all corners of the country, “said Ntshona.

To reduce the price of travelling, the South African Tourism has embarked on a campaign to offer discounted prices rates for travellers.
