Buffalo City Metro Developing Waterworld Fun Park

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Development Agency (BCMDA) hosted a sod turning ceremony on Thursday to unveil the R100-Million upgrade of the Waterworld Fun Park in Leaches Bay.

The project, which commenced in February, seeks to further develop the tourism and entertainment offering of the East London coastal stretch along Fullers/Leaches Bay.

Development associated with teh project include a new entrance building and crowd control access, a new amphitheater, earthworks, stormwater management, and water reticulation, among others.

Many opportunities for SMMEs will arise from the project, during the construction stage, and further opportunities after its completion.

Another BCMDA project which is in the pipeline is the Court Crescent Recreational Park Development. The East London Beachfront Precinct Plan  aims to integrate  space and improve  open spaces in the beachfront with the view of  promoting tourism and creating a conducive environment for crowding in  further investment into the space.

Both project Profiles can be downloaded below.
