Networking evenings

As part of BKCOB’s benefits, we hold bi-monthly networking evenings for our members. Each of these networking evenings are sponsored exclusively by a member of the BKCOB and allows the company to introduce and promote its service offerings, introduce staff members etc.

All arrangements for these networking functions are made by our Events and Marketing office, and includes invitation notices, confirmations, name tags, welcoming of guests etc. The programme for each networking function remains consistent and even though a sponsored event, they are hosted by our Executive Director, and includes the awarding of certificates to new Chamber members, prize draws and general announcements.  In addition, at each networking function, there are two lucky draws of member’s business cards, a platform for those two Chamber members to give a very short introductory presentation, i.e. two minutes.

The Border-Kei Chamber of Business Networking and New Member’s Function has proved to be a great success and therefore the expectancy rate is almost always oversubscribed. Members attending range from the manufacturing sector, travel, engineering, tourism, health, retail, service industry etc. Both local and at times national visitors attend. The media is invited to all functions.

BENEFITS

There are various options available to you, as an example you may proof the invitation upon request, provide name tags with your logo on, welcome guests to the function in conjunction with Chamber staff, and the freedom (within reason) to brand alongside the Chamber. Your company logo will appear on all our notices and invitations. Of huge benefit therefore is the exposure both at the function in terms of (a) branding opportunities, (b) a 12 minute presentation to attending members and guests, and (c) post the event in our Business Hi-Lite and Newsletter.

COSTS

BKCOB does not make a profit from this function but there are always expenses that need to be met, for example, the catering. On average this event is attended by 120 – 200 guests. A cocktail drink upon arrival is optional but would increase the cost.

The cost for the evening is R12 000 (inclusive of VAT).

We would be happy to discuss and negotiate any additional services or special requirements with you. contact our events coordinator Jenny Inglis at the Chamber for further information.
