| MBSA wins prestigious JD Power Award and Stevie Award |

Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA), East London plant have once again walked away with the internationally acclaimed J.D. Power and Associates U.S. Initial Quality Study Award.
Following MBSA East London's outstanding achievement of a Gold Award for producing vehicles yielding the fewest and malfunctions of any plants in Europe and Africa region serving the U.S. market. However this year's award - the Platinum Award - which is the highest possible award that can be awarded, is for producing vehicles with the fewest defects and malfunctions of any automotive plant supplying the U.S. "The amazing element of these awards, which by the way you will not find a more prestigious award, is that the east London plant has consistently grown their achievements. Going from Gold to Platinum is a significant achievement considering the competition in the sector" said Les Holbrook Executive Director of BKCOB. As well as winning the J.D Power Group Award MBSA also recently won an award in the 7th Annual International Business Awards. The so-called ‘Stevie© Award' ceremony will take place in Istanbul, Turkey on September, 27. MBSA will be awarded the Stevie© in the category ‘CSR Programme of the Year in the Middle East and Africa' for the Siyakhana Project, described as "An Innovative Partnership Approach to Tackling HIV/AIDS in Small Business". |
