Trade Invest Africa, a division of the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti), invites companies to apply to participate in an Outward Trade and Investment Mission to Ghana and Nigeria, which is scheduled to take place from 19-23 March 2018.
The mission aims to increase bilateral trade and investment between South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria, and is an ideal platform for South African companies looking for investment opportunities or to export value-added products and services.
The target sectors for this mission include:
Agriculture: agro-processing, food industry, agribusiness
Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals
Furniture and wood processing
Infrastructure: roads and rail, bridges, ports, built environment professionals
Steel fabrication and steel tubing
Mining and capital equipment
Companies will be screened and selected in line with EMIA guidelines and market requirements.
the dti will provide approved companies with the following:
A subsistence allowance of R2 300 per day
An economy class return airfare to a maximum of R17 000
Companies that are not eligible for EMIA funding are welcome to participate in these missions at their own expense.
