Eastern Cape, 31 May 2018: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that controlled blasting is scheduled to take place on the R72 Section 3 to Section 4 between Birah River and Openshaw Village between Monday 4 June and Friday, 8 June between 1pm and 3pm, weather permitting.
On Monday, 4 June, Wednesday 6 June and Thursday, 7 June the road will be closed between the Hamburg turn-off and Gcinisa Village.
On Friday 8 June the road will be closed between the Birah turn-off and Wesley Village.
“Motorists are asked to use caution when making use of the road,” Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL Southern Region Manager said.
SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused.
