PUBLIC NOTICE: UPGRADING OF THE WATER WORLD FUN PARK

BCMDA is set to commence with the development of Water World Fun Park, as had been communicated throughout the public participation process. The development project will be undertaken over an 18-month period, starting February 2020 until July 2021.

It will involve a lot of heavy construction work, which might have impact on business operations and public activities in and around the area. BCMDA would like to also assure the public and key stakeholders that the grand prix circuit (racetrack) will not be affected by the ac- tivity hive of construction vehicles for access to Water World, as an alternative bypass around the racetrack will be established.

We humbly apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused as a result and we will be reaching out further to any affected parties. Please be at liberty to contact BCMDA Spokesperson, Mr Makalima on the following contact details: Phone number: 0431010160, Email address: oyama@bcmda.org,za.

Imperial | Coronavirus Update

With regards to our previous communication regarding the Coronavirus, we would like to share the following update with you.

Our Imperial Shanghai office has opened, however, numerous building management agents has only given approval for a certain amount of staff members to access the offices.  This is to prevent too many people gathering at once, as continued efforts to contain the virus is still a top priority.

Staff members who will not be able to access the offices, will continue to work from home. All non-operational support staff have been advised to take annual leave throughout this week.

From an operations point of view there are restrictions imposed on regional trucking activities. There are also numerous sailing and airline cancellations, we also anticipate space constraints as numerous carriers and suppliers will be trying to work through their backlogs hence please expect some delays. We are doing everything we can to get back to full operational capacity.

Kindly contact your relevant Key Account Managers or operations team for tracking of your shipments and general enquiries.

We value your continued support.

Curtailment possible solution to Load Shedding

Due to Load shedding having a negative effect on the economy with industry, a curtailment program has been put in place for industry that are prepared to assist with load reduction during the Load Shedding period.

Customers who can demonstrate the ability to manage the required percentage reduction across several independent installations in a given supply area may be accommodated (e.g. a customer or group of customers may agree to completely closet while other plants remain in operation). This arrangement applies to a national emergency (load reduction requirement) and should not compromise the specific requirements for regional load shedding in the event of a regional load shedding requirement (i.e. local supply constraints).

For full curtailment requirements and application process click on the links below. Alternatively, email curtailment@econtrol.co.za to request full curtailment pack.
