The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) invites Eastern Cape manufacturers to participate and showcase their products at the 2nd Intra-African Trade Fair (IAFT) 2021 from 8-14 December- in Kigali, Rwanda organized by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition. The objective of the trade mission is to facilitate access to Rwanda market for Eastern Cape companies. The delegation is expected to comprise of companies from the Eastern Cape Province and South Africa.

Targeted sectors:
The focus on the trade fair is on the following sectors:

  • Agriculture & Agro-processing
  • Automotive
  • Construction & Infrastructure Development;
  • Consumer goods (White Goods);
  • Energy & Power;
  • Engineering;
  • Financial Institutional;
  • Footwear, Leather & Textile;
  • Heavy Industry & Light Manufacturing;
  • Health and Pharmaceuticals;
  • ICT & Innovation;
  • Logistics;
  • Mining

Financial Support offered by the dtic and will cover;

  • Exhibition space and booth rental costs
  • Freight forwarding of display material
  • Air travel assistance up to R17 000.00
  • Daily subsistence allowance of R3000.00 per day

Entities that wish to participate in this mission should apply. Below is a list of supporting documents and criteria required:

  • The entity must have been in operation for at least 12 months
  • Company registration certificate
  • Original valid Tax Clearance Certificate
  • Colour Brochure
  • Company Profile
  • Audited Financial Statements or 3 months bank statement
  • Copy of Passport of proposed traveller
  • And the application form
  • Export Certificate
