The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality (BCMM) together with a number of stakeholders in the city held a Metro Communicators Forum on the 05th of October 2018, at the King David Hotel.

Wrapping up the one-day Forum, Councillor Xolani Witbooi on Friday emphasized on all the stakeholders to show their visibility in the Buffalo City Municipality.

“All the different types of stakeholders that are here today need to show their visibility in the public, the City awaits this historic agreement which will bring new hope for our City” added Witbooi.

Through this intervention, the Municipality hopes to achieve its target to create sustainable communication between the community and the municipality.

A number of stakeholders presented the way forward of the Forum which included practical actions such as:

  • Growing the economy
  • Fighting Crime
  • Professionalization of Public Services
  • Gender-Based Violence
  • Transparency

The stakeholders are looking forward to working with the public in representing all sectors of society and developing solutions in which we can all agree on.
